Mandatory training is compulsory training that is determined essential by the Trust for the safe and efficient delivery of services.
Our mission is to provide the highest quality healthcare at all times.
This type of training is designed to equip staff with all the skills, information and knowledge to deliver safe and effective care and protect ourselves and our patients from unnecessary risks. A secondary aim is to reduce organisational risks and comply with local or national policies and government guidelines, to ensure a safe workplace for all.
We have aligned our core mandatory training to the Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF). This means our training is aligned to a recognised standard and that we can recognise training that staff receive in other organisations in compliance with the Statutory and Mandatory requirements. This helps to prevent unnecessary duplication of training as staff move between roles and organisations. The Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) sets the statutory and mandatory training subjects for all staff working in a health or social care setting. Delivery standards and agreed learning outcomes are set nationally, ensuring the quality and delivery of all the core subjects are to the same standards and meet all the key learning outcomes.
