Darcy-Mae Cave, a Year 10 student from Bradford Academy, expressed her excitement about the event:

“It was an inspirational event that has made me think about a future career in midwifery. The midwives who spoke were so passionate and inspiring about their jobs – it looks like a really rewarding career.”

Sarah Wilson, Careers Coordinator at Beckfoot School, commented:

“We spent a fantastic morning with the teams at Bradford Teaching Hospitals and SkillsHouse, who have put on an amazing event for Bradford students.  The young people from many different schools were engaged and inspired by the wonderful Midwifery staff that spoke with such knowledge and passion for their roles.  It is so important for our young people to hear from professionals about the different pathways to achieving their goals. Our aim is to empower students with knowledge and experience that will inspire their future choices, and today’s workshop did just that.”
